(RightWingAmericans.Com)- Before the coronavirus outbreak, President Donald Trump had already cut back the amount of time he spent dealing with the fake news media in the White House press briefing room. Following the outbreak of the Chinese virus, however, he set up the White House Coronavirus Task Force and appeared every day in the briefing room to tell the media what his administration was doing to fight the virus and protect the American people.
After several weeks of appearing daily, Axios now reports that Trump will be reducing the amount of time he spends at briefings, potentially not even appearing daily. It follows multiple negative interactions with fake news outlets like CNN who have attributed words to Trump that he didn’t say, and aggressively shouted despite not being called for questions.
Trump gave an abnormally brief appearance at the press briefing last Friday. Typically the president sticks around for an hour or two, answering questions and making sure the American people know he is there and working for them.
According to the report, a senior adviser to the president reportedly said he has been advised fighting with the press isn’t helping. Trump has been forced to fight back recently when media outlets and Democrats made the false claim that he told the American people to drink bleach.
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden tweeted, “I can’t believe I have to say this, but please don’t drink bleach.”

The thing is…he didn’t have to say that. The assertion that President Trump told people to drink bleach is verifiably incorrect, but facts don’t seem to matter anymore. It came after multiple news outlets reported the president advised that injecting or drinking disinfectant could help when in actual fact, he was discussing the scientific investigation into the effect of using disinfecting agents and UV light to fight the virus.
President Trump is reportedly willing to continue fighting back, however, and may still insist on appearing at the briefings because of the high ratings they receive. Trump has used the platform to show the country that he is a proactive president and wishes to keep taking the fight directly to the media.
What do you think, should Trump avoid the media or fight then head-on?
