Trevor Noah DEFEND Looting & Violence, Says Police “Are Looting Black Bodies”

( Comedy Central TV host Trevor Noah shockingly defended the criminality of looters and rioters on Friday when he justified their actions by saying American polite “are looting black bodies.” It comes after former cop Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd in Minneapolis after kneeling on his neck during an arrest.

Noah defended the ongoing angry protests against Floyd’s death by suggesting they are just reacting to the way black people are treated by society.

In a video uploaded to The Daily Show YouTube account, Noah suggested that the riots really started with Amy Cooper, a dog walker who was caught on camera in Central Park, New York City, threatening to call the police on a black man. The video quickly went viral, with people of all races (and political affiliation) condemning her words. Cooper lost her job at financial services firm Franklin Templeton.

“Amy Cooper was for many people, I think, the catalyst,” he said. “I think Amy Cooper was one of the first dominoes that we saw get knocked down post-coronavirus.”

He didn’t, however, acknowledge the fact that Cooper was widely condemned and criticizes for her racist comments by Democrats and Republicans.

He then went on to argue that black Americans are suffering more than white Americans during the COVID-induced recession.

“While everyone is facing the battle against coronavirus, black people in America are still facing the battle against racism…and coronavirus.”

Interestingly, data shows that police do not target non-white people disproportionately. Despite white people committing less violent crime nationally than other ethnic groups, data shows that police officers have shot and killed more white people every year than any other ethnic group.

What does that mean? Well, it suggests that the police actually target white people more than black people. The truth, though, is that police brutality occurs across the board and isn’t racial.

At the end of the video, Noah defended the violence and looting taking place.

“Try to imagine how it must feel for black Americans when they watch themselves being looted every single day,” he argued. “Because that’s fundamentally what’s happening in America.”

Then, he argued that black lives aren’t as valued as white lives in the United States, implying the country is racist at its core.

“If you kill a white person especially in America, there’s a whole lot more justice that is coming your way if you killed some black body in a black neighborhood somewhere,” he said.

He did not provide any evidence to support the claim.
