(RightWingAmericans.Com)- As the trans lobby because more powerful and radical, it’s great to see a little injection of sanity in Idaho. Republican Governor Brad Little signed the Fairness for Women in Sports Act on Monday, protecting girls and women from unfair competition in the form of biological males competing against them in sports.
The move comes after several high-profile cases of schools defending the practice of allowing boys to compete against girls.
The new legislation means all sports teams that are sponsored by public schools, colleges, or universities will be forced to abide by the rules. A girl’s team, or a women’s team, will not be open for transgender students to join. A male may identify as a female, but his biological advantages will disqualify that person from competing against biological women.
Speaking to the Daily Wire, the Senior Vice President of the U.S. Legal Division of the Alliance Defending Freedom, Kristen Waggoner, defended the decision.
“Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field,” she said. “Allowing males to compete in girls’ sports destroys fair competition and women’s athletic opportunities.”
The ADF is notable for representing a team of female high school athletes who are seeking legal justice after missing out on key sporting victories because they were forced to compete against biological males.
“We commend Gov. Little for signing the Fairness for Women in Sports Act into law so that those opportunities will be protected in Idaho,” Waggoner added. “When the law ignores biological differences, women and girls bear the brunt of the harm.”
Waggoner also explained how, in Connecticut, two biological males ominated the girls’ track events after they started competing as females. They took home dozens of championships and smashed a series of female track records that had been in place for many years.
“Comparably fit and trained males will always have physical advantages over females – that’s the reason we have girls’ sports,” she added.
Naturally, the decision by Gov. Little has been blasted by the American Civil Liberties Union. In a statement, the ACLU condemned the move and promised to see the Republican governor in court.
“We encourage all Idahoans to email, call, and tweet Gov. Little to express outrage and disappointment,” they said.
Encouraging people to harass a governor for defending women…real classy, ACLU!
