China-centric WHO Says “Not the Time” for Trump to Cut Funding!

VIDEO — Trump Fights Back in Fiery CPAC Speech

(RightWingAmericans.Com)- On Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced that he is considering putting a hold on funding for the World Health Organization for the group’s failing in the runup to the declaration of coronavirus being a global emergency. Trump claimed the WHO “called it wrong” and appear to have a bias for the communist Chinese government.

The World Health Organization isn’t exactly happy about the news, firing back on Wednesday morning and saying “now is not the time” for the funding to be withdrawn.

They have a reason to be scared, too. Much of the funding for the international organization comes from the United States, which contributed $400 million in 2019.

“We are still in the acute phase of a pandemic so now is not the time to cut back on funding,” the European regional director for the WHO told CNBC on Wednesday.

During the daily coronavirus press conference in the White House Briefing Room on Tuesday, President Trump blasted the WHO for delaying the decision to declare the virus a global pandemic.

“They called it wrong. They really, they missed the call. And we’re going to put a hold on money spent to the WHO,” he said. “We’re going to put a very powerful hold on it and we’re going to see. I’m not saying I’m going to do it, but we are going to look at it.”

Trump also called the WHO out on Twitter, claiming the organization is inexplicably “very China-centric” despite being funded largely by the United States.

“We will be giving that a good look,” he said. “Fortunately I rejected their advice on keeping our borders open to China early on. Why did they give us such a faulty recommendation?”

The president may be wielding his influence to stop the organization from wrongly favoring communist China in the future. As it stands, the U.S. Congress has already authorized $122 million for the WHO this year, and it’s unlikely House Democrats would support him plan to cut funding entirely or in part.

Either way, it’s clearly getting to them!
