Bernie Campaign Admits Fox Is More Fair Than Left-Wing Press

( – Well, well, well. Even socialist Bernie Sanders and his team have to admit that Fox News is fairer than the left-wing, fake news press!

Faiz Shakir, campaign manager for Bernie Sanders, has admitted that Fox News is “more fair” than left-wing MSNBC in their criticism of their campaign. Shakir accused MSNBC of using a “double standard” in their coverage of the veteran “democratic socialist,” suggesting that Fox News has a better grasp of the progressive platform being pushed by Sanders and his team.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Shakir made a sly dig at Fox, saying, “That’s saying something.”

“Fox is often yelling about Bernie Sanders’ socialism, but they’re still giving our campaign the opportunity to make our case in a fair manner, unlike MSNBC, which has credibility with the left and is constantly undermining the Bernie Sanders campaign.”

Trouble in paradise, huh?

Bernie Sanders appears to be up against the Democratic Party establishment once again, despite shifting his social values firmly to the left to appease the radicals in his party. No matter what he does, the party doesn’t seem to want him to win, and the media seems to want to aid the Democratic establishment.

Shakir even said that MSNBC, a popular left-wing outlet that promotes the Democrats, was treating Sanders and his supporters with “disdain.”

“It’s a condescending attitude: ‘Oh, they must not be that intelligent. They’re being deluded. They’re being conned. They’re all crazy Twitter bots,” he said.

“My view is that there’s a bit of detachment from MSNBC and the people who this campaign gets support from. It feels like they’re covering progressives from an elitist perspective.”

Sanders continues to rail against what he calls the “corporate media,” but it doesn’t seem to have the same effect it had with Trump. For the president, it’s easy to take on the media when they are so obviously against him because his agenda is popular. The American people are interested in protecting their borders and getting better trade deals.

For Bernie, it’s harder. Even if the media is unfair to him, the American people generally don’t accept his worldview and don’t support his socialist ideas. So no matter how much he rails against the media, it’s unlikely he’ll get much support from the voters and, in turn, the media won’t see a reason to change the way they cover him.

Too bad!
